Prepare for birth, recovery and feeding in one focused day. Led by Lola Dexter, Registered Midwife and IBCLC, this full-day antenatal class gives you and your partner the confidence and practical skills to move into birth and the early weeks feeling genuinely ready, whatever way your birth unfolds.
This class blends clinical depth with warm, honest, real-world guidance, built on years of hands-on midwifery experience and specialist training in perinatal mental health, taught in a small group setting of usually 4 to 6 couples so you get plenty of space for questions.
You'll leave feeling calm, prepared and genuinely supported, not overwhelmed with information.

How and why labour actually works, the physiology behind each stage, and why understanding this helps you feel calmer and more in control on the day. You'll learn how to support your body through labour, how your partner can support you, and your options at each stage, covering vaginal birth, induction and caesarean so you feel prepared for any path your birth takes.
Understanding Labour and BirthPractical, hands-on preparation for labour day itself, including breathing and relaxation techniques, positions for labour and comfort, what to pack in your labour bag, and building a toolkit of items and techniques that work for you, from TENS machines to massage and music. Whatever way your birth unfolds, you'll leave with tools that help you feel steady and supported.
Preparing for Labour: Your Labour ToolkitPractical ways your partner can support you through labour and birth, after your baby is born and how to work as a team when it matters most.
Your Partner's RoleWhat the early days and weeks at home are really like, adjusting to life with a newborn, sleep and settling, dividing the load between you as new parents, and building your support network before baby arrives.

What physical recovery actually looks like in the days and weeks after birth, including scar care for those who birth by caesarean, drawing on Lola's specialist Caesarean Scar Specialist training.
