Breastfeeding Support

What I Offer

Antenatal Lactation Consultation

Preparing to feed your baby is one of the most meaningful things you can do before birth, and having the right support in place early can make all the difference.

This 90-minute antenatal consultation is for expectant parents who want personalised, expert guidance tailored to their own circumstances. Whether you are preparing for your first breastfeeding experience, navigating a previous difficult feeding journey, or facing specific medical or personal considerations, this session is designed entirely around you.

This consultation may be particularly helpful if you are planning to induce lactation as a non-gestational parent, have a medical condition that may affect feeding such as gestational diabetes, thyroid conditions, or previous breast surgery, experienced challenges feeding a previous baby and want to feel more prepared this time, expecting multiples, know your baby may have additional needs or require NICU care, or are preparing for a caesarean, premature birth, or other complex circumstances and want to plan ahead for feeding.

Together we will look at your feeding goals, talk through anything you are anticipating or worried about, and build a clear, personalised plan that feels manageable and right for you. We will cover latch, positioning, milk supply, expressing, combination feeding, and anything else that is relevant to your situation.

You will leave with a plan that is yours, not a generic guide, alongside a digital copy of my breastfeeding preparation guide to refer back to as your due date approaches.

This session is available in clinic, at home, or online.

Consultations take place either in the comfort of your own home or in my consultation room at Rose Clinic and typically last 1.5–2 hours.

Fees
Home consultation: €175
Clinic consultation: €160

Postnatal Lactation Consulatation

Feeding a baby is never one-size-fits-all. Every baby, every body, and every family is different, which is why each consultation is tailored to your individual needs and goals. My role is to provide calm, evidence-based support in a way that feels practical, compassionate, and free from judgement. You will never be rushed. Together, we will explore what is happening, why it may be happening, and how to move forward in a way that feels manageable and supportive for you.

Support may include help with positioning and latch, nipple pain or damage, engorgement, blocked ducts and mastitis, milk supply concerns, pumping and hand expressing, breast refusal, feeding premature or medically complex babies, oral function assessment, jaundice, feeding multiples, induced lactation, medication and breastfeeding, or simply reassurance and emotional support during the postnatal period.

Following your consultation, you will receive a personalised care plan along with follow-up phone and email support. If additional in-person support is needed, a follow-up consultation may be recommended (€120 home / €110 clinic).
Consultations take place either in the comfort of your own home or in my consultation room at Rose Clinic and typically last 1.5–2 hours.

Fees
Home consultation: €175
Clinic consultation: €160

Private Breastfeeding Preparation Class

Preparing for feeding before your baby arrives can make a huge difference to how supported and confident you feel in the early days. This relaxed and practical session is designed to take the mystery — and much of the anxiety — out of breastfeeding, chestfeeding, pumping, and combination feeding. Together, we focus on helping you feel informed, grounded, and prepared, whatever direction your birth or feeding journey takes.

These sessions are suitable for first-time parents, families who found feeding difficult previously, those planning a caesarean birth, expecting twins, navigating a high-risk pregnancy, or anyone wanting clear, evidence-based information in a safe and inclusive environment.

During the session we explore how feeding works, how milk production is established, positioning and latch, skin-to-skin contact, recognising feeding cues, understanding what effective feeding looks like, and navigating common challenges that can arise in the early weeks. We also discuss pumping, hand expressing, ways of giving extra milk, returning to work while breastfeeding, partner support, self-care, and where to access help if needed. Each session is adapted to your own circumstances, questions, and goals, allowing space for honest discussion and practical guidance.

You will receive a quick-reference guide with practical tips, a comprehensive 60+ page e-booklet covering everything discussed during the session and more, along with a 15% discount on a postnatal consultation. Individualised guidance tailored to your situation is included throughout, and if you are planning to pump, there is also the option of a breast and nipple assessment, including flange sizing support.
Sessions take place in the comfort of your own home or in my consultation room at Rose Clinic and usually last 2.5–3 hours. Home visits are primarily offered at weekends, making it easier to include your partner or chosen support person.

Fees
Home session: €200
Clinic session: €180

Group Breastfeeding Preparation Class

Preparing for feeding before your baby arrives can make a huge difference to how supported and confident you feel in the early days. This relaxed, evidence-based class is designed to take the mystery and much of the anxiety out of breastfeeding, chestfeeding, pumping, and combination feeding, helping you feel informed and prepared for whatever path your feeding journey takes.

This class covers the same topics as my private antenatal feeding session, but takes place in a small group setting with other expectant parents. The smaller group size allows for discussion, practical demonstrations, and plenty of opportunity to ask questions in a warm, supportive, and inclusive environment.

Together, we explore how feeding works, how milk production is established, positioning and latch, skin-to-skin contact, recognising feeding cues, understanding what effective feeding looks like, and navigating common feeding challenges. We also discuss pumping, hand expressing, giving extra milk, returning to work while breastfeeding, partner support, self-care, and where to access support after your baby arrives.

The class is suitable for first-time parents, families hoping for a different feeding experience this time around, those planning a caesarean birth or expecting multiples, and anyone looking for clear, realistic, and compassionate feeding education before birth.

You will receive a quick-reference guide with practical tips, a comprehensive e-booklet covering all class topics in more detail, and a 15% discount on a postnatal consultation.

“I’m eternally grateful for the support and guidance I received from Lola before and after my daughter was born. During such an emotional and overwhelming time, she was patient, kind, and incredibly reassuring. Lola is super knowledgeable and passionate and she quickly put me at ease and helped me feel comfortable and supported about how to navigate feeding for the first time.

She is medically trained and evidence based but also holistic in her approach. Because of her guidance, my breastfeeding journey was successful, and I would highly recommend her to any new mum or mum to be!”
